The Lake District 2003

In April 2003 we went back to the Lake district....again.

We climbed:

• Blencathra, via Halls Fell, including Narrow Edge and Sharp Edge
• The Langdales - Pavey Ark, Harrison Stickle and Pike 'o' Stickle

Friday April 4th.

The day started with fairly low cloud and it was quite windy. We planned to climb Blencathra via Halls Fell ridge, and descend via the well known ridge route of Sharp Edge.

Saturday April 5th.

When our friends Nigel and Jackie had joined us, we decided to re-visit Blencathra, doing the same loop walk in the opposite direction. This time we would go up via Sharp Edge, and down via Halls Fell.

Sunday April 6th.

We headed for Pavey Ark, and the climb known as Jacks Rake...

Summary.

Not a bad weekend. The weather was fine and we managed to do (almost) everything we planned. So the final tally was:
