In April 2003 we went back to the Lake district....again.
We climbed:
The day started with fairly low cloud and it was quite windy. We planned to climb Blencathra via Halls Fell ridge, and descend via the well known ridge route of Sharp Edge.
When our friends Nigel and Jackie had joined us, we decided to re-visit Blencathra, doing the same loop walk in the opposite direction. This time we would go up via Sharp Edge, and down via Halls Fell.
We headed for Pavey Ark, and the climb known as Jacks Rake...
Not a bad weekend. The weather was fine and we managed to do (almost) everything we planned. So the final tally was:
Date | Peak 1 | Peak 2 | Peak 3 |
---|---|---|---|
Friday 4th April | Blencathra, 2847 ft | - | - |
Saturday 5th April | Blencathra, 2847ft | - | - |
Sunday 6th April | Pavey Ark, 2296ft | Harrison Stickle, 2414ft | Pike 'o' Stickle, 2326ft |
